This is what I lost it and went to the hospitality cabin to speak to Miss Dalton again who finally, after I broke down and cried in her office, offered me a complementary week’s stay at BRV at a later date so I could have a better experience than the current one that I had. There was six people living in this condo for the week without running water available for an entire 24 hour period. And when I say that I mean we could not flush the toilet’s, brush our teeth, or even refill the kids water bottles. It was all going as planned win on our third night something happened and our building lost all running water.

So because we had three kids with us and we were on a “friends trip” without our husbands we tried to make the best of it and it wasn’t hard to do considering the resort is in a great location and the high country offers so much to do. I made a complaint to the resort manager Kim Dalton (who is now no longer with the company) and I felt like she kinda of blew me off. To our surprise we woke up to see that they had drained the lake and taking the boats out of the water. After all the disappointment on check in day we tried to put this behind us explaining to the kiddos that we would make things better with a adventure on the paddleboats the very next morning. You could imagine my surprise when I showed up with my two girlfriends and our three kids in tow to find that they had no playground, and a pool who’s heating pump had supposedly broken the day before. The first being that the resort was completely under construction which they NOW have very clearly listed on their website but at the time there wasn’t so much of a word about it on their website nor on the RCI website which I used to book my week stay with. The things that happened on this trip is so bad it was almost comical. This is worth the time to read if you plan on staying.My first visit to BRV was in August of 2019. The lake is available for fishing, it is restocked monthly. The facility is large with possibly 20 + buildings. The next scheduled renovations will be for new sofas, chairs and rugs in the units. Fiber optic cable was being installed in the buildings while we were there. The tape did not seem to have been freshly applied. One pane even had scotch tape sealing up a crack.

And (2) many of the double pane windows in the living room had broken seals which allowed moisture to seep in between the two panes and thus obscure the view. Our issues with the unit were (1) that several of those long plastic rods one uses to pull draperies across the window were not attached at the top to the drapery. 8 people in the unit might stretch some glassware and utensils. The unit could sleep 6 in the bedrooms I mentioned and I suspect that there might have been a sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen was comfortable wide and well stocked at least for the two of us. Both of these rooms looked out on a very nice lake. The master bedroom was on the opposite end of the unit, had a king sized bed, large dresser, bathroom and a Jacuzzi tub. This bedroom was the first room we came to as we entered the unit.

The non-master bedroom had two comfortable double beds in it, a large dresser and a private bathroom. Fortunately Monday morning Travis the manager was able to provide us with a connection we could use. This review started as a 1 because when we arrived in building 11 our unit was the only one in the 12 unit building without any Internet connection.
